I've used the Joe (on my JS1200) and love it, but I'm in the process of swaping out the PUs on my PRS Custom 24, putting a D sonic on the
bridge position but am after a hot neck pickup to match, the specs on the
Evolution neck and Joe are very similar, although the Evolution seems to have more bass output and is very slightly 'hotter' so might be ideal, how does this pickup sound compared to the Joe though? Is it sterile like an EMG, does it have the fantastic hollow vibe that the Joe has - I love the way that with the Joe you can play all the way up the fretboard and it still 'rings' on each note, it doesnt get too dull if you know what I mean, the only downside it sthat the Joe is a medium output pickup and might not match the D sonic. The existing PRS neck pickup is too muddy & not enough output, crap harmonics..
