Les Paul Sound with RGA121 (Neck Pickup)?

Hi,

I love the sound of my Gibson Les Paul, but it just doesn't feel comfortable, so now I'm thinking about buying an RGA121. I want to put a Tone Zone in the bridge, but which neck pickup will give me a fat, Les Paul-like tone?

Thanks

Try a Bill Lawrence L500-R. Not the XL which is too hot. I put one in one of myPauls and it made sound...well..Paul-ier.

If you want to stay with DiMarzios, try the PAF, the PAF Classic, the Air Classic, or the Virtual PAF. Any of those will get you in the ballpark, but you can only get so close with a bolt-on maple neck, 25.5" scale guitar.

Gibsons 57 Classic is an awesome pickup. I have a set in my standard and a set in my 61 RI SG. ALthough, I dont care for it in the SG as much as in the LP. Eventually I will put some Fillmores in my SG i think

Lately I've been playin my RG550, with a PAF Pro in the neck. I'm pretty amazed at how "LesPaul-Like" it sounds with the tone control rolled back.
