looking for smooth without mud .........

so i had a little fling with emgs and that is over and i am back to dimarzios . I went back to evos because of thier power clarity and compression , they are voiced a little differently them emgs but share some simular traits .

i have my amp setup with the tone i want out of the evos , i had to lower my presence to keep the top end from getting shrill and compensate for the tight bass responce of the evo . HOWEVER i would like a change up pickup . Something smoother , and creamier BUT with good definition . I have had a breed but i didn't really keep it long as i sold the guitar i put in shortly after the pickup swap .

So i am thinking i may try a breed again but i thought i'd go ahead and get some input .

Perhaps those new Duncan Blackouts everyone is talking about? I know I personally hate SD, but even these pickups have peaked my interest after my brief fling with EMG 707's.
