Middle pickup for Fred & Paf Joe?

I'm looking for a middle pup for my RG550. I have a Fred & Paf Pro (although I'm changing the PP to a Paf Joe to cut the bass a little) in there, and I want a middle that will work well with these.

When the middle pup is used alone I'm looking for a round, clear Strat neck type tone for blues to light rock tones.

I've done a load of searching and frankly I'm confused. What would you recommend guys?

I've always liked the Blue Velvet single coil. I that should work for what you want it for.

That's good to know, I had an idea the BV would be the way to go. I was just concerned how it would work with the Fred & Paf Pro/Joe.

BTW, I guess I should get RWRP. Do you know is a DP170S RWRP (as I suspect)?

EDIT: I think I just found the answer to my question, and the the "S" is in fact RWRP
