More warm pickups to a Ibanez RG550

Hello,
My Ibanez RG550 have V7(neck), S2(middle) and V8(bridge) pickups. The pickups have good attack and presence but sometimes they are a little sharp. I want a more fat, warm tone, maybe more close to the Steve Vai tone.
My question is: What pickups do you recommend? DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, others? Which models?

Thanks.

If you want the Vai tone, get Vai pickups!

The Breed set is probably perfect for what you're describing. You could leave the S2 middle pickup if you wanted to. I have a 570 with a Breed neck and S2 middle, and they work well together.

Breed for the bridge.
They were designed to give a fat warm tone on tremolo superstrats.
and vai uses them too.

PAF Pro for the neck, or Breed neck.. they are pretty similar and both will work well with the breed bridge.

What is the sound difference between a S2 and S1 mid?

DiMarzio Paf Pro(both bridge and neck) or another option is Seymour Duncan JB(Bridge), Hot Rail(Middle), 59(Neck).

For the kind of tone you're talking about, I would say that the Breed is what you want in the bridge. As for the neck, if you're after that Vai tone then I would probably go with either the Breed neck model or a PAF something or other (Pro, Joe, Classic, they're all good choices).

I've had PAF Pros and Breeds in similar guitars and preferred the PAFs exponentially over the Breeds.

What's the real difference you noted between them?

PAF had a better presence, harmonically. i felt the Breed was really missing something.

super distortion- bridge - sounds warm and fat, with slightly cutting treble (controllable with the tone knob).
PAf pro - neck

I was mistaken, my middle pickup is an S1. It's also compatible?
