My review (with audio) of DiMarzio Crunch Lab, LiquiFire Petrucci pickups

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a set of these pickups last week, so here are my thoughts.

dimarzio-crunch-lab-liquifire.html" target="_blank">http://www.iheartguitarblog.com/2009...ifire</a>.html

I installed them in an RG7620 and I love them so much I'm thinking of getting a set for my Universe too.

Thanks guys. IbanezFreak777, I would highly recommend these pickups in a J Custom, as it's the only way to make a J Custom even cooler. :P

I ordered a Crunch Lab with black pole pieces for the bridge of my J-Custom RG8470. Thanks for the good review. I look forward to a little tighter bridge sound!

Yeah, my clips have been on there for about 3 weeks now and I don't think I've been able to wipe the grin off my face yet.

I wired them with the standard 5-way RG7620 wiring (bridge humbucker, bridge+neck single, bridge + neck humbucker, neck humbucker parallel, neck humbucker series).

If you're happy with the D-Sonic, stick with that, but the Crunch Lab has a lot less bass and a warmer treble range. I definitely prefer the Crunch Lab over the D-Sonic because it's not as aggressive.
