I have a D-Sonic in the bridge and I'm happy with it (mostly because I haven't tried many other dimarzios) but I think it's time for me to change the neck and the middle pickups (H-S-H). So my main question is that which pickups will do good with a D-Sonic in a
mahogany body? Additional info: 22 frets and a zr tremolo.
I was thinking of
Air Norton to the neck. I just wonder if the Air Norton gets muddy in a mahogany body with high gain. For middle I was thinking of some hum-cancelling single coil. Maybe chopper or cruiser.
So if anyone has experience of any good pickup combinations I'd like to hear from it
And btw I play prog metal (Dream Theater, Symphony X etc.) and high gain metal tones.
