Need help choosing a pickup

I want to choose a double bladed pickup, for soloing (shred, metal type) Neck and or middle
I like the highs like the sound of malmsteen with that 'glassy' feel but I dont want to get a yjm or hs3. I also like goodf clean crisp sounds. Im not into the heavy detuned low sounding stuff, but I do like lots of output
So far the ones I can think of is a Chopper or Fast Track by Dimarzio
Brand doesnt matter. Any suggestions?

seymour duncan hotrails ;-)

you know the solo sound of iron maiden's guitarist dave murray? that's hotrails in neck position. also good for middle position and the bridge... gives nice sounds in 4th position (middle + bridge pu) that you can hear for example in the appregio like intro part of "brave new world". and the neck solo sound you can hear in probably any maiden song with a dave murray solo :-)

Re: Need help choosing a pickup

Check this out, I really want a sound like that, the clear lows and the highs are wicked, its not that great of a quality sound but im sure you might be getting at what i want in a pickup. Could I get something really close to that with hotrails? The reviews i've been reading on them are quite good and thats what im thinking of getting. Im still wondering about a chopper.

A DiMarzio Fast Track 1 or Pro Track would work.
