need help with EMG

i hav a JACKSON RX10D( randy rhoads) with 2 duncan designed humbuckers. I want to change these pickups and install EMG (zakk wylde
set).

Now to do this will i hav to do routing in my guitar?
and i hav only a volume knob in my guitar..no tone
so what will be the wiring? i hav seen wiring diagrams
with 4 knobs( 2 vol,2 tone)..3 knobs (2 vol.1 tone)and 2 knobs
(1 vol, 1 tone)..but haven't seen with one volume.

can anyone help me regarding this.

You shouldn't have to, unless there isn't room in the electronics cavity for a battery.

chech the EMG website, they should have stuff for 1 volume and no tone.

You shouldn't have to route anything. Use the diagram for the 1 vol/1 tone and just remove the tone pot. Everything else is the same.

I'll find the diagram and post it...

EMG's are compatable with both F-spaced and non F-spaced guitars. You can install F-spaced pickups in non F-spaced guitars and vise versa, the little pole pieces won't line up with the strings perfectly though. Some people say this affects tone, some say it doesn't make any difference. As for the 9v battery, you should be able to just put it where the electronic cavity is (the place where the back of your volume knob is in your guitar body). If it won't fit, then you will have to do some minor routing to get it to fit. Or you can do some major routing and get a 9v battery slot installed on the side of the guitar.
