need some help deciding new pickups for my rg570

Hey guys

ive got a 92 rg570 with V7 neck sb2single and v8 bridge

im about to purchase a new bridge and a new neck pickup, now my dilemma.

i really like satriani`s warm bridge sound aka always with me always with you, i beleive that is a FRED or a PAF pro, but how musical are they with other songs?

I also like the gain and textrue of the evolution pickups, i want an evo for the neck position, but would that be too much? i love the sound of jems

i also like paul gilberts tone, h beielve he uses super distortions, air nortons and tone zones,

so what im saying is i want a guitar that has a mix of the above three artists, what would you guys recomend?

thanks

Jimmy

Paul gilbert has used four pickup variations.

#1-Tone Zone (bridge), Jem Single (mid), Tone Zone (neck)

#2-Tone Zone (bridge), Jem Single (mid), Humbucker From Hell

#3-Super Distortion (bridge), Jem Single (mid), Super Distortion (neck)

#4-PAF Pro (bridge), Jem Single (mid), Paf Pro (Neck)

Don't forget- most of the Jems ever made had PAF Pros in them, not Evos.

My personal thoughts for a good pickup choice would be to keep the single coil and get a Tone Zone for the bridge and a PAF Pro for the neck. The TZ in the neck may be a little too warm for ya, and a HFH in the neck may not have enough balls.
Although, I have a BFP with PAF Pros in both the neck and bridge positions and I wouldn't swap them out for anything.

ok i decided on the following

my RG570 is getting a PAF Pro in the Neck, and a ToneZone in the Bridge.
Im leaving the sb2 in the middle, as i hardly use that pickup

i also got a Dimarzio FRED for my RG450, hopefully our of these two guitars i will be able to get two distinct tones from them.

cheers

Jimmy

ps i ordered pink and green pickups for my yellow ibanez, that thing is gonna look like an 80`s reject for sure! cant wait!

Good choices... you'll definately be happy with that combo!

And it will NOT look like an 80's reject... it will look like an 80's survivor! You totally have to post some wicked awesome pics when you get that rad axe lookin' mint. Ug. I can't believe I talked that way... although I still say 'totally' and 'awesome' far too much for a 29 year old.
