New pickups for ibanez prestige rg t320q

Hi guys! Greatings from Portugal!!! Im new here and i hope you could give me your honest opinion on my issue. (Sorry about my english)

I proudly own a ibanez prestige rg t320q but i do not like the sound on the pickups very much, those 2 origin humbuckers are not very reliable, i prefer a more punchy and crispy sound like guthrie govan or paul gilbert.

I wanted to know your opinion on which pickups i should swap to a sound more vai-guthrie-gilbert type. Lots of both hi and lo end.

I own a vettaII head and im thinking to buy a carvin v3 this month.

I was wondering getting the "evolutions" - bridge and neck (dimarzio) or "fred's" of dimarzio, or maybe some kind of combination. I honestly dont know. After all that's why i'm here.

Hope you can help.

Keep on rockin' in the free world!

Evolutions are a great starting point! I have them in one of my J Customs and I love the sound from them. On another one I have the new Dimarzio Crunchlab and LiquiFire pickups in my gold J-Custom. Those are awesome as well! IT all comes down to what you like in a pickup.

How do you find the Liquifire, is it very dark, are harmionics abundant or supressed slightly? I'm considering this over a Breed neck, the specs look pretty similar.

Chech out the Paf Pro, it's a great pickup for rock/shred styles and offers alot of versatility. Imho it's not as sharp and in your face as the Evos, and sounds sweeter on cleans.

Good luck on your tone search

Rock on!
