Noise Volume Pot and 5way switch

Well, all's been told in the subject... on my Radius both the Volume Pot as well as the 5way switch are very noisy (crackling). Will I really need new ones or are there any other ways (contact spray...)

Thanx,
Lenny

check for dirt on solderings, then use spray.
if it doesnt work, swap'em.

Ditto what Nuno said, and also try not to get the contact spray on any
plastics like the nobs and what not (radius has no pickgard so your OK
there). Most tech sprays are strong enough to melt plastic so that would
be bad me thinks.

A can of compressed air could help as well. It would definitely blow out any dust/dirt that there may be. There are some contact sprays that will melt the nitrocellulose lacquer that Gibson uses, so it's definitely good advice not to get any on the finish (of course, that's a good rule to practice regardless of the guitar).
