Re: Noob Q
I'd say do it, if its got a trem.
I just looks nicer. Doesn't do anything to sound, i tried a normal and f-spaced
tone zone
and it didn't sound any different.

Re: Noob Q
like Rhaab said, it will probably look better, but no difference in sound
I took a quick pic of mine. It has an F-spaced bridge and a normal-spaced neck. The alignment is off some on the neck, but no big deal.

Re: Noob Q
Heres a F-Spaced in the neck so you see the difference between the two.

Re: Noob Q
also an example of an invisible middle pick up.
Compared to the first picture, the
neck pickup
here is aligned.

Re: Noob Q
both should be F, if you look at the DiMarzio FAQ you will find measurements for the nut and bridge which will tell you what you need.
An F-neck, properly aligned, will look like this, as it's supposed to...

Re: Noob Q
Get both F-spaced. The spacing will be much more aligned when compared with a standard
spaced pickup
. It won't sound much different, but the spacing WILL be more accurate.
