well, i had a couple of X2Ns lyin around. i decided to stick em in this old Jackson Performer i had lyin around too. It is setup for HSH. i wired the X2Ns in with the stock jackson
single coil using a 4 pole
5 way switch so that i could get coil taps at 2nd and 4th positions. anyways, when i go to those postitions, everything sounds a little darker, or muddier if you will. You guys think the X2Ns sound dark in single coil mode? or do you think its just the crappy stock Jackson single coil screwin everything up?
if its the Jackson SC, then do you guys have a good suggestion for a single coil to go in between the X2Ns? i would like for it to be kinda loud so that i could lower it...im sick of hitting this one with my pick. ha ha. I would prefer to stick with DiMarzio, so think about it and let me know if ya dont mind. Thanks.
