Opposite direction PU?

I have a question. I have an RG with Breed on the neck,VV 2.1 middle and Air Zone on bridge. Very smooth and nice sounding to me. I rotate Breed and Air Zone opposite than shown on Dimarzio scheme cause I wanted for active coils on split mode to be closer to neck and Floyd Rose than to middle pickup(standard sheme). DiMarzio says this gives more "telecaster" sound in split mode. I like it better than standard, its kinda fuller sounding, nice for playing chords, not so thin. But I am wondering one thing..if somebody knows..can putting Breed and Air Zone opposite than standard make their sound not so good as standard direction..could there be that coils are made different for each string or is there any reason for them to be put in direction shown on standard sheme?
