so i just installed a jem single coil and a
PAF pro from an old VBK in my rg2550z.
the pickups all work fine in terms of volume and tone but the PAF pro in the neck is buzzing like wild when the volume is up, like, worse than the single coil. the single coil is pretty bad, but the PAF pro is worse.
what could the problem be?
i've wired everything up in the right location it seems cause everything (volume knob, tone knob etc) works perfectly, and the hum disappears when you're playing but as soon as there's silence on the neck, it buzzes like crazy.
i wired the green and bare wires of the PAF pro straight onto the volume pot by themselves, not on the pile of other wires that are on the pot, would this make a difference?
i'd like some suggestions before i open up the guitar again.
