Parallel vs. coil split

I am wiring up some new pups in a guitar and I want to wire them series/parallel instead of the usual coil splitting I have in some other guitars. I know it won't be true single coil sound but I want the guitar to be noiseless. I would apreciate any opinions on the sound of this setup if you've used it.

High. I'm running that setup right now on an RG770 loaded with a SD Jazz, IBZ C3 (whatever this is) and a SD Distortion. It's the best setup I've ever used, I like the tone when running both SD's in parallel and overall the tone is very versatile, not to mention that it's quiet.

Regards and good luck with your choice,
Nelson

Re: Parallel vs. coil split

I've currently got a bit of both going on in my strat - I'd say if you're just going to be splitting a pickup on its own instead of splitting it with your middle pickup not to bother and wire for series/parallel instead. It's hum cancelling and sounds a bit sweeter.
