Phase reversed?/other questions
I was reading about the blue velvet pickup because Frodo recommended one to me as a middle for my rg. And it said something about it being able to be phase reversed or something, what the hell is that?
also I still can't decide between an evo
neck pickup
or an
air norton
, also dimarzio says both of them have different sounds depending on if it is flipped or not, flipped as in vai's neck pickup here

Re: Phase reversed?/other questions
from Dimarzio's FAQ:
"... Can I get a single-
coil pickup
in reverse polarity?
All of our true single-coil pickups are available with reversed polarity and connections at no additional charge ..."

Basically, when used in conjunction with another coil, it creates a humbucking effect, cutting out your 60-cycle hum.
