Pickup choices for Mahogany RG

I need, soundwise:

Emphasis on treble/harmonics (want those pinch harmonics to sound good)
Not too few mids as to sound too balls-less
Tight (y'know, tight under high gain and alternate picking)
Sounds good enough clean
Works with Mahogany body
Works well in a live loud setting

My first choice is Dimarzio D-Activator but it looks like getting a trembucker version might be difficult, so what else would people reccomend? I'm thinking specifically within Duncan/Dimarzio territory because I can't afford Bareknuckles or anything like that.

Re: Pickup choices for Mahogany RG

Mmm...Evo can be a good choice...let's see...

Emphasis on treble/harmonics --- YES, LOTS OF TREBLE AND HARMONICS!
Not too few mids as to sound too balls-less --- MIDS BOOSTED
Tight --- EXTRA TIGHT
Sounds good enough clean --- NOT THAT GOOD...
Works with Mahogany body --- SOUNDS GREAT IN MAHOGANY
Works well in a live loud setting --- CUTS THROUGH EVERYTHING

So...almost everything covered...Evo2 can be an option too if you're playing rythm parts...

Sleepyone is right,
You described a Evo, sounds like what you want. Look at the specs and get a Evo or Evo2. My favorite pups.

Re: Pickup choices for Mahogany RG

I'd try the Norton based on what you described.

what if its rythym like powermetal?
once i tried the tone zone i pretty much fell in love with the dual resonance, but i want a bit more output and not so bassy. I think im going evo

I was a fan of the PAF Joe before trying the Air Norton
so the "Joe" is now my "second" preferred.

to have a sound that kills without excesses (great sound definition )in the bridge position : Kent Armstrong Motherbucker (4coils) , definitively !!!
