Pickup Height Help

I put a fast track one in the mid position of my RG570. I'ver got it lowered as far as it will go but it is still high enough that when I pick, my pick hits it a lot near the high strings.

Can I just take the springs out from behind it and sink it down more, just screw it to the body without the springs which take up space?

I'm not concerned with the tone as I don't use the mid position much anyway.

Re: Pickup Height Help

i think you can do it... i did that with my pick ups.. dont like the pickup ring ahd change it to hold on the body... only got a piece to make the separation (a piece of foam or something like that) to work as a spring so i can adjust the hight... if the strings are to long, punt something instead of them... i think...

cheers
