Pickup question....

is there any practical way to install EMG's on guitars that already have the pickups mounted to the body of the guitar(Like a lot of RG's do).

Thanks!

You could always add pickup mounting rings. Can't EMG's be direct-mounted as well though?

yeah just like any pickups. Just wack the spring on the "other" side of the pickup's mouting lug and you have it set up for direct mount

If your problem is that the old screws are too fat to fit through the brass rings fitted in the EMG, then you can put a screw into the EMG, then heat the screw with a soldering iron until the heat transfers to the bushing, and it will come out, leaving a larger hole. The ring can usually be put back the same way, but may require a little superglue.
