Cool videos, man. The Tone Zone is AWESOME!!! Now how about you make a video showing off a Humbucker From Hell in the neck (preferably in your 550 or 450DX). Pleeeease?!?

I have a question JimmyJ: How did you EQ the Tonezone? I thought it sounded pretty nice in your videos.

I placed one into my RG, but the bass seemed muddy (even through my J-Station)...Does the TZ prefer increased treble/presence? I am kicking myself for quickly changing it before carefully evaluating it via EQ structure.

Re: Pickup Test Videos For Download - PAF, FRED, TONEZONE SD JB

well all those vids were made with the same effects patch

you can hear the mids shining in the fred
and the mids cut in the TZ, the TZ from memory had this eq set up on my peavey amp (at the time)

Low 8, mid 3 high 4 presence +12 (full) and my boss gt6 to make the patch, cant remember what it was

but the TZ liked cut mids and like me winding the bass back a little too, since its been in the neck of my guitar it has been perfect, a godsend, id say as strong as an evolution with a little more flavour to be honest.

That makes sense.

My current amps do not have presence...that might help tighten the bottom end of the TZ.

Thanks a bunch!

WOW, that is great you put this comparison together! I've been debating what to use on my RGs & Ss, now I know ONE OF EACH! haha...

Now to go finds some Freds and Tonezones on auction.

BTW, awesome playing! I bow to thee!
