pickups for mahogany jem

hey, i've recently ordered a mahogany jem body to replace the body on my old RG560 & am looking for any suggestions for which pickups to load it with. I already have jem7BSB as well so was thinking I'll avoid the evo's. I like a modern tone in the bridge (for fast metal riffs) but want a vintage tone from the neck (for smooth vintage solos).

Any recommendations??

I would go with a Steve's Special for the bridge, personally .

Steve's Special in bridge (counteracts any muddiness you might here in a mahogany guitar; this pickup is unreal!)

thanks guys, sadly i'm not in the financial position to try out every dimarzio i like the look of so really appreciate your tips. I was thinking about the PAF Joe for the neck position - anyone used that??

Sonata - the body is coming from Christopher Woods. It hasnt been shipped yet but he sent me this pic. The plan is to leave it natural w black guard & white p/ups like the original bad horsie

ha ha, cheers sonata, yeah i must admit, i've wanted a natural jem since i first saw the original g3 video 10 years ago!? Sadly, it wont have the gold hardware thats on neville though; I'm using as many parts as possible from my old RG560 to keep costs down so its a black edge & tuners. I did consider putting pink p/ups in it for a while - going for the root beeer look - but I think i'll stick with white
