Piezo Bridge for Strat

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any piezo bridges for Strats? If so, how easy are they to install, and how do they sound? I'm looking at a 6-screw model.

Although i havent used the model your talking about, I can give you some advice. NEVER replace a trem with a 6 screw model. Get a good knife edge unit and give yourself some tuning stability.

Well, here's the thing, it's already a 6-screw model that's on my guitar, and I don't feel like routing. It's a Squire, it's not worth it. And I'm just gonna block it anyways. Just want piezo ability.

Anyone? Now that I'm non-specific on brand? Suggestions? Experiences? Comments?

If it's not worth it to do a bit of routing, why is it worth spending hundreds of bucks on a piezo bridge?

Isn't that just going to delay your purchase of a 7620 or 1077XL?

You might consider looking into the GraphTech F.A.A.S. Systems... You may be able to move the saddles over to another Strat-type guitar if you ever upgrade.

Good idea man! Yeah, it'll delay the 7-string a bit, but right now I'm having lots of fun on my 6-string. Enough that I think I can wait a little. Yeah, I really want a 7-string, but right now, my 6-strings more useful because of the band I play with (just for my Youth group, but it's all 6-string, and we could use an acoustic sound every once in a while. And I've been listening to too much Incubus and that piezo-ed PRS of Mikey's is making me drool)

How does your Squier sound unplugged? If it's not a great sounding piece of wood, piezos will likely sound pretty thin and tinny on it. Mikey's PRS is probably a few expensive pieces of tone wood... and it's hollow.

Another good point. It sounds ok from my memory, but I'll have to analyze it a bit more tomorrow.
