pole piece spacing question

Hi,

I was just wondering what peoples opinion of pole piece spacing was. I have a couple of Flyd rose trem guitars ( 1 strat, 1 Ibanez RG) and both guitars have a regular spaced humbucker at the bridge. On the RG, the low E is off and on the strat, the high E is off. This doesn't seem to sffect the volume and both guitars sound great.

Sometimes I think that when I do a bend the note gets louder, but it may just be me.

I remember someone on this site once mentioned that the magnetic field was not directly in relation to the polepieces and there would not be much of a problem.

Can anyone help put my mind at rest?? or do I really need to do a van halen slanted pickup jobby???

Usually in the bridge position, an "F" spaced pup is placed. Since a floyd bridge has a slightly wider spacing, the poles on an "F" spaced pup are spaced out to match......confused? ;-)

For the most part, F-spacing is cosmetic. This has been covered on the site about 10 times, so you may want to do a search of the site to find more information.
