Problem with Dimarzio Tone Zone and RG570

I have a Dimarzio Tone Zone pickup on my 2001 Ibanez RG570(left handed as well) that is having some weird issues. It has become really noisy and funny sounding, almost like a single coil pickup..kinda bassy and weak..

From all the diagrams I am using the right wires and they are going to the correct spots on the 5 way switch. There are no shorts anywhere in the wiring that I can see.

The black and white wires to terminal 3 and the red going to terminal 8 (and the green and soild wire to ground).

When I test the pickup with an meter, I get 8.26K which is really low as the Tone Zone is supposed to test out at 17.3K.

If I test my neck pickup (a GFS Crunchy PAF), I get about 10.2K which is correct for this pickup.

I was wondering if this may be a break/short in the coils of the pickup itself, or maybe a bad 5 way switch. Any ideas? The switch does not seem to have any shorts in it.

Re: Problem with Dimarzio Tone Zone and RG570

Ok, I'm an idiot. I was looking at the diagram for the Jem instead of the 570, and I noticed that it was probably set up for Dimarzio wiring codes. I noticed that I had the wires reversed on the terminals. I switched them an it worked like it should. I had used the stock 570 diagram and thought that was correct. The guitar has been wired wrong for over a year and it was just recently I noticed it...

One thing I wonder is why I tested the bridge pickups in both my 570 and my old RG550 (same tone zone pu) and the meter acts like I don't have them even hooked up. What is up with that?
