Re: PU Replacement for RG570

if you what it to be different to your JS don't go then with Freed and PAF Pro

So from your options (evolution norton air norton) my advices are:
1) Evolution (N) + Evo2 or Evolution (B)
2) Air Norton (N) + Norton (B)
And I'll add:
3) Air Norton (N) + Tone Zone (B)

But it would be good to know what are you looking for to advice you better.

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

My suggestions are either

a) Evo2 bridge evolution neck

b) Breed bridge breed neck

c) Tone Zone bridge PAF pro neck

I would personally go for the evo2 bridge and evolution neck.

Both pickups should be f-spaced

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

Hi,

I want:

A neck humbucker with a really round sound....with a nice clean tone...... Good for soloing with overdrive..... that can achieve a mellow overdrived tone.......not muddy.....not to bright

A bridge humbucker that has nice harmonics but isn´t harsh or extremely bright.....is going to be used almost all the time with distorion/overdrive for soloing and for doing riffs....

wich combination of this pu´s would be you´re choice for a 1999 RG570?

Super Distortion
Dual sound
HFH
Evolution Bridge
Evolution Neck
Steve Special
Paf Joe
Paf Pro

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

You should check out the breeds.
Or Tone Zone/Air norton
Or even Norton/Air norton

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

For an RG-570, I'd suggest the same combination I have in my RG-470: PAF Pro (N)/HS-2 (M)/Evo 2 (B).

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

IMO what you described is exactly what you will get with your JS

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

You want your RG570 to sound different from your Js1200, and yet:

a) having the neck humbucker with a round sound, good clean tone, good for soloing with overdrive, that can achieve a mellow overdrived tone, not muddy, not to bright

b) A bridge humbucker that has nice harmonics but isn´t harsh or extremely bright, is going to be used almost all the time with distorion/overdrive for soloing and for doing riffs

c) You are limiting your options to the short list you gave

What you are asking is very difficult to achieve but my best guess is:

For the neck Evolution Neck
For the bridge Steves Special or Super Distortion

yep....i think i just want that js1200 too bad....lol

the fact is that my local retailer only has the modes i listed......i think is going to be better to order the from the us and pay the expensive shipment....i may just order a replacement pu´s for my epi les paul at the same time to low the "average" cost of each pickup...

FRODO is right.....i´m kind of confused here....so i´m going to make the question again...

i want the RG to be more agressive than my comming JS1200.....but i dont want it to be harsh sounding and want to achieve decent cleans......what would be you´re recomendation for the three pickups?

and what you recomend for my epi les paul standar? (looking for classic les paul rock tone / slash type)

thanks again...

Re: PU Replacement for RG570

Hermano yo que tu me voy por Evolution Neck + Reverse Wound Red Velvet + Evo2 Bridge.

That way at least you are going to get the neck pickup in your town.

Saludos...
