Pups for Carvin DC727

The way Carvin has the direct mounting setup on the DC727 is kind of proprietary.. the bass side of the pickup has two screw holes while the treble side has the one. However, on just about every pickup available, there's only one screw hole on either side. What can be done about this?

For clarity's sake, I'm going to be ordering a Bare Knuckle Warpig for the bridge and either a Seymour Duncan Jazz-7 or Dimarzio Air Norton 7.. both of which have just single screw mounts.

Re: Pups for Carvin DC727

The problem isn't so much the mounts, as that the Carvin pickups are a bit smaller than everyone else's. The Dimarzios can be made to fit eaily enough, but taking a dremel to the plastic bottom plates. I'd get specifications on sizes before ordering, to see if you'll need to route the guitar itself to get your new pickups in.

Re: Pups for Carvin DC727

My main concern is getting the pickups in without having to drill a new screw hole on the bass side. From what I've heard, sandpaper to the wings of the pickups normally does the trick for most..
