Question

PUSH-PUSH Pot with minimal move

Looking for a 500 Push-Push or Push-Pull Tone Pot that has a smaller push-movement than 4mm, maybe 1-2mm.

Anyone knows?

Re: PUSH-PUSH Pot with minimal move

have you considered installing a DPDT mini toggle instead of a push-pull pot? Or prehaps you can upgrade your switch to give you what you want. Maybe even a new set of knobs ? If the shaft fits into the knob further then it wouldn't be as far to pull the pot .

Doing a JEM FP body and want optimally no extra clutter, but extended pickup combination options.

Thought about using a fender S1 switch? I hear that they are available as a spare these days.

Re: PUSH-PUSH Pot with minimal move

or you could get a push-push knob so it's more like an on off switch

Re: PUSH-PUSH Pot with minimal move

I never liked the push-push as you could forget which position it was in and can't tell by looking. What extra sound are you looking for(maybe there's another way to get it)? I never use the tone knob so I sometimes use that for other things. It could be used to roll off one coil on a humbucker, or use it to blend in the middle pickup while a 3 way switch selects bridge-neck or both so you could add the middle to either or have all 3 pickups going(you would not be able to get just the middle). Just tossing some ideas out to get you thinking.

Re: PUSH-PUSH Pot with minimal move

Push-Push or Push-Pull, both have too long movements to shift position/connection.

Maybe some super-mini-ceramic 3mm diameter switches are available?
