if it's from a GIBSON it might sound pretty decent or good. If it's from EPIPHONE it'll probably sound like crap.

Re: putting gibson pick-ups in an ibanez?

Gibson makes fine humbuckers, and I would certainly consider putting them in nearly any Ibanez hollowbody and a good deal of the semi-hollows as well. Gibsons are dear though, so if you don't already have them I'd consider going with something else because of the number of available options at less than Gobsons $100 or more per pickup price. If you've already got the Gibsons, then you could be looking at a very nice upgrade, depending on the Ibanez.
What have you got, pickups and guitar?

The only stock pickups from a guitar manufacturer that I would ever consider putting into one of my Ibanez are PRS pickups (gotta love those Dragon II pickups).

If it's an F-spaced bridge, the pole pieces won't line up for the pickup in the bridge position, right?

People say it doesn't make a difference in the sound, but it's a big deal for overly anal people like me.

well, i put the bridge pick-up in the neck of my ibanez, and it sound so awesome for the type of music i play in my band. it may not be anyone else's style, but for a lead guitarist, its awesome, the harmonics are amazing.
