putting not "fake" new pickups

Hello,

I want to change my Ibanez RG550 pickups to a Dimarzio ToneZone and a Dimarzio Air Norton. I'm gonna buy this service in a music store in Lisbon, the service includes buying the pickups and setting(wiring) them on the guitar. My question is: after the job is done, how I know that new pickups are really a ToneZone and a Air Norton? Is there any serial number, identifier, etc, in the pickups? I don't want to pay for "fake" Dimarzio's.

Thanks.

Re: putting not "fake" new pickups

They all say "Dimarzio, made is USA", some have individual markings but most only have markings saying the're dimarzios.

You should really be able to tell by playing them, especially the air norton, youll notice right away how clean it is compared to any stock pups.

Still the easiest way would be by asking to give you the boxes aswell, which they should do but some dont. Specifically ask for the boxes and warranties etc.

new dimarzios also have a number stamped on the back of them like dp150 or dp193 . it is on the bottom stamped into the metal plate so it would require you to take the pickguard off to check . You could buy the pickups yourself from an online music shop , or **** or any number of other sources then have then installed or install them yourself .

Yeah, look for the DPxxx number on the bottom of the pickups themselves.
