Question On Gilbert's Pickups

What Bridge pup did he use with his Humbucker From Hell?

What neck pup did he use with a Tone Zone in the bridge?

Any recordings with these set up you know for sure they were used?

Re: Question On Gilbert's Pickups

His taste changes already, he seem to be going for vintage sounding pickup nowadays, his newer album mostly uses paf classic and area 67 if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Question On Gilbert's Pickups

I'm pretty sure it was Air Classics and Area 67s.

At least his new sig has Air Classics in it.

Re: Question On Gilbert's Pickups

The Tone Zone and Humbucker from Hell are used together in the PGM400 and 500 (with a FS1 sandwitched in between). The PGM800 and two anniversary models have two Tone Zones with a FS1. According to the reissue special site, Gilbert used the 500 "in the heyday of Mr. Big and on a lot of his early solo stuff ". The 800 was used a lot in Racer X's later days and most of the "Superheroes" album.

Here's a list for reference:
PGM100 PAF Pro, FS1, PAF Pro
PGM200 PAF Pro, PAF Pro, PAF Pro
PGM300 PAF Pro, FS1/JEM, PAF Pro
PGM301 PAF Pro, JEM, PAF Pro
PGM400 Humbucker From Hell, FS1, Tone Zone

PGM500 Humbucker From Hell, FS1, Tone Zone
PGM600 Super Distortion, Super Distortion
PGM700 Super Distortion, Super Distortion
PGM800 Tone Zone, FS1, Tone Zone
PGM900 Super 58, Super 58
PGM90HAM Tone Zone, JEM, Tone Zone
PGM10TH Tone Zone, JEM, Tone Zone
PGMFRM1 Area '67, Area '67, Area '67
