Quick Question!

Dear Jemsite!

I just bought a Breed pick-up yesterday and i attempted at wiring it in last night, only to confronted by a wiring diagram i had yet seen. The guitar in question is a Jackson Kelly KE3 pro series. I was trying to sell it for a while, and since i couldn't get anywhere near half of what i paid for it and it is mint, i decided to make it more usable. So i installed a Original Floyd Rose bridge with a nice thick and long trem block for that extra sustain. I had just recently purchased and installed some Evo's in my Ibanez RGT42dx and it was the first time i got to play the evo's for more than 20 minutes. I was impressed, but i decided to have a guitar that i could have a different sound. I already have a super strat B.C. Rich loaded with a Super Distortion ,and what i really wanted corresponded a lot to what the Breed produced. Cha Ching.

Anyways, this is the current configuration on the guitar. It's the first time i mess around with a guitar that has only a 3 way switch and volume and also seymours for that matter.

Anyways, to install the breed, would i simply need to copy the pattern on this diagram, or would i need to do it differently ? Like i said above, i thought this was odd as i had never wired a guitar this way. Or perhaps, it is just because this is the first time i touch a three way with one volume. At any rate, i hope someone can enlighten me.

Here is the diagram

Re: Quick Question!

If you're going to install 2 humbuckers then you could use the circuit described in pricipal EXCEPT the DiMarzio pickup wire colours are not the same as the Seymour duncan. Basically the Black and Red wires are swapped.
Look at http://www.ibanez.com/support/wiringdiagrams.aspx and select
instrument: Guitar
Year: 2007
Model: JS1200
This circuit shows the correct wire colours and also a coil tap option with a push/pull tone pot and additional capacitor on a push pull volume.
If you don't want the single coil sounds or the extra capacitor then try:
Model: XPT700
for the plain wiring (I'd probably just have the coil taps not the capacitor switch).
