Re: Quick question about Ibanez wiring diagram

Different curves. There are a *LOT* of different curves for pots but A and B are the most common. I recall Dimarzio(I think) making a 500kW pot which has a curve suitable for both volume and tone.

By the way, if you didn't know. The curve on a pot changes the way it reacts when you turn the pot up and down. ie. one type of curve will give you a more gradial decrease/increase in volume on a volume pot but another curve may not.

Yeah i know about the curves... in electronics here we call them "linear" and "logarithm-something..."

I wasnt aware of so many different curves for guitar pots, and i certainly didnt know they were named with letters...

thanx man

Re: Quick question about Ibanez wiring diagram

The curve on a pot wouldn't much of make a difference if your volume and tone are always on full. They really start taking effect if you manipulate the volume or tone pots.

In the end it's really a matter of preference once again.
