Replacing Pickups For Gibson Style Sound

I've fallen in love with the finish of the ESP Eclipse-II VB, and I've also been wanting a Les Paul style guitar for a while too. I was wondering if it would be possible if I got one, to replace the pickups to achieve a traditional Les Paul tone. I'm assuming I'd have to change out all of the pots too since it would be going from active to passive pickups, is that correct? What type of pickups would help me get what I'm looking? Any help would be great!

i would guess a set of gibson '57 classics would get u in the ballpark.

Thanks I was looking at those, and I think I might start saving up! How much of a difference in sound will there be between the ESP with the '57 classics and a Les Paul?
