RG570 on the way

I have a RG570 on the way in gray nickel finish. I was just wondering what are some suddle yet unique mods i could do to it that don't cost a lot. I am also trying to decide what pickups to go with. I thought i might go with either Paf Pro (neck) HS2 (mid) Fred (bridge), EVO (Neck, Bridge) HS2 (Mid), Air Norton (neck) Blue Velvet (mid) Tone Zone (bridge). Also what would be the spacing on the pickups for the bridge and neck. I am looking for a pickup that can do squels and harmonics easily but at the same time sound great clean. I really like satch's sound but like vai's whammy sound. I was just wondering what your opinions were.

in my RG 1570 which is the same as yours basically i have a duncan custom in the bridge(TB-5) a classic stack in the middle and a 59n in the neck
could not be happier with it
the dimarzio's i tried were too artificial sounding

Your FRED and PAF combination sound pretty good to me. I wouldnt go with an EVO bridge pickup however, because they can sometime be very harsh sounding and abit "shrill" or "eek" of ya know what I mean. My personal favourite in the bridge is a ToneZone, but I just love that pickup!
That EVO in the bridge wont be too bad if you back it off a little from the strings, I have heard that really works!

Its up to you, but I would go with your third suggestion, A ToneZone in the bridge, Air Norton in the neck . God I love ToneZones.
