RG770 with emg?

I am considering having EMG-85 and EMG-81 put in my 93 violet RG770. After several visits to the local luther to fix loose wiring resulted in splitting the the humbuckers into single coils.
My question are.
1. is it possible?
2. how?

I have my original usa F2/C3/F4 pups but i have very short wires coming out of them.

1. Almost anything is possible.
2. Whenever you go from passives to active EMGs you need to change out all of the electronics anyway. If you get the pickups new, then the EMGs should come with plenty of wire, a new input jack with a 9V battery attachment, and new volume and tone pots. The only thing that you should have to acquire separately would be a 3-way switch which is best since those models don't split. I would recommend leaving the installation of EMGs to someone who has done it before because it is a lot more involved that changing passive pickups. It would actually be a lot simpler (and cheaper) to just upgrade to some Dimarzios.

just rewired my pups. I forgot what the stock pups sound like when set up right. No need for EMGs after trying guitars at the store with EMGs, the RG770 F4 C3 F2 sound better from death metal to clean.

I really don't know about your tone preferences.
IMO, the purple 770 is the most beautiful RG ever!
Specially for a purple swirl project.
