RGMetal Pickups for Better Tone?

The RGMetal has a weird sound. It's kind of ping-y. Sometimes I like it, like for single coil, picking right over the pickup, it's really got a bright attacky sound.

I would like a little warmer, fatter sound for the bridge, though. I have the ToneZone now and I love that in my other guitars, but not here.

I would also like a fatter sound for the neck. Got an air norton now.

I think I want to stick with DiMarzio because I want to get the chrome tops on the pups because it will look cool. HOWEVER, if DiMarzio doesn't make it, I can get a custom DiMarzio for this thru my tech.

Like to hear from anyone who knows about metal guitars.

I like DiMarzio Evolution's.

Do you have any photo's of the RGMetal? I've always wanted one of those.

Hey man I own a METAL and I see what you mean about the brightness of the tone. I truly think that the finish and alluminium pickguard affect the guitar's resonance in some way. I love the way she sounds though, I find the TZ to be a bit too bassy on other guitars but to sound great in this one, same thing for the AN. As you say the single coil has a supreme sound.

I don't know how to help you since I don't know of a warmer Dimazio than the TZ, maybe the Breed???
