Re: richie kotzen

It varies I'm afraid matey.
He has alot of them custom wound by DiMarzio. And it depends on what Strat he uses. But on his 1976 black strat he uses a Fast Track 1 in the neck, and middle, and then a Super Distortion or PAF Pro in the bridge.

So on your Squier 51 your getting, I'd go with a Fast Track 1 in the neck, and then a Super Distortion OR a PAF Pro in the bridge.

He also liked a HS-2 for a single coil sound too, so that may be another possiblity along with the Fast Track 1.

Sounds like a nice project too.
I've been wanting one of those Squier 51's for a while now.

God, thats a tricky one.

I would hazard a guess at a PAF Pro myself. I think it would suit what you want it for perfectly.

Can't really go wrong with the PAF Pro, great across the board I'd say; and you have the reassurance of plenty of artists behind it.
