S540 with EVOs... wiring problem

Hi!
I'd like to ask for some help with wiring my S540FM. I have the stock ibanez singlecoil and two EVOs. I'd like to wire the VLX91 OTAX switch to work like the stock (bridge, bridge tapped + singlecoil, singlecoil, neck tapped with singlecoil, neck)
I am not too good at electrics, but I can read the wiring diagrams.
I have tried the following wiring setup I have found on jemsite:

and also this one:

With the later setup I got the following results:
selector in bridge position (1): neck pickup is on, with some noise
selector in position (2), (3), (4): only the midle singlecoil is on, with huge noise
selector in neck position (5): bridge pickup is on, with some noise

I have checked many times... I have wired everything like it is on the diagram.
The pickups are good that is for shure, and the switch is also good (i have even taken it apart to check if the contacts inside are ok...)

Pleeese help me!

nice photo by the way, Mission

After some more hours of reading webpages I finally really understand how things work! I managed to put together an own wiring diagram that works for me at last!!!

Sorry I didn't see this before, but I've just noticed that the Ibanez diagram you posted is wrong!
The red wires from the neck and bridge should connect to TWO contacts on the switch not one!
If you look at a 2007 JEM7 circuit you can see they've got it right!
I'm glad to say that you've worked it out for yourself.. the only thing you could do is connect the green ground wire to the switch chassis if you feel like it.
Well done!
Jim
(Hmm... I didn't mean to sound condescending... really, well spotted!)

That diagram is from the Jemsite setup section... maybe they could be corrected by the site owners... but it also means that the official diagrams avaible from the ibanez site are also wrong.
