Series/Parallel switch on a strat?

I know Fender has a system now that gives you 5 more options, but is it possible to simply add a switch which will give series operation in positions 2 & 4 as opposed to parallel?

Also, if I wanted to do the same for the neck and middle pickups, could I simply use another switch in the same manner (Replacing the bridge pup with the middle pup, and the middle pup with the neck pup)?

Strat wiring at bottom of this page. It's not a pretty diagram but the wiring works and will give you neck/middle and middle/bridge.
