seymore pickup in my rg 570

ok guys i am replacing the bridge pickup in my 570. i want to try something different than my stock V8 pickup. so i got me a seymore duncan one. my question is that the V8 pickup has a red, white, and bare wire. the seymore has red, white, black and green and a bare wire. what wires are what? only 2 spots to solder onto the switch which is where the red and white wires are. so could someone tell me what and how to get the 4 wire seymore on the 570 5 way switch and it be right?

Re: seymore pickup in my rg 570

thanks that is just what i was looking for. i searched for over 2 hours reading and got no real clear answer. the pickup is working and sounding great. i had mixed reviews about it by reading the comments. but i have to say the dimebucker sounds awsome. harmonics just seem to jump off and it has great crunch for the power chords. i was pleasently surprised by the clean sound and how crisp it is. must say i am very pleased with it. i must say the guitar needs good wood. the bass wood of the 570 it sounds great and has plenty of sustain. one of the other guys noted how good it sounds and was wanting to know what is was. he tried it through a marshal stack and a mesa. i now know i need a mesa amp because it really made the tone i wanted.

thanks again guys. you have brought more life into a old faithful axe.

Re: seymore pickup in my rg 570

i was really worried at first but like you say it is over the top. i can say my sound now has that little edge that every knows is there and they keep trying to figure it out. and now i am getting the crunch and soaring solos that really cut and dang near hurt the crowd..... i have a feeling that the 570 has just become my main axe. now to get a tone zone for the neck position and i should be set.
