I think that you are supposed to wire all the 4 conductors from the humbucker to the pickup ring, and from there it will have a single separate set of hot/ground lead that you can wire into your system.

We just got the first articles in, and they are pretty easy to maneuver. The thing everyone is missing from the photos is that there's a scoop out around each switch. So they're somewhat protected, but your flesh has a clearance when you move them. (kind of like a scalloped fretboard) When you reach for the switch, you get good grip on it.

You can do it with your thumb or fingers, or the tip of your pick if necessary. Either way it became second nature after a day of demos. Now it's like reaching for the volume knob with your pinky, or flipping a toggle switch. But since it's so close, you can actually flip the switch while you're playing and not even skip a beat.
