sigh, still dont know which dimarzio to go with

i've listened too most of the audio samples on their website and i still dont know which one to get, its hard to to compare pickups when each audio sample is playing something different power chords, solo runs blues/heavy metal. etc

can anyone help here? i just want pickups with awesome crunch (dream theater, godsmack, metallica) and can also achieve good harmonics (i want my guitar to scream!!)

my rig, rg2570 (basswood) mesa boogie f-50, both sorta have a bassy tone so should i only pick pickups with high treble/low bass?

basically just recommend me pickups better than my dimarzio/ibz lol

I haven't tried all of Dimarzio's pickups but by far my favorite from the ones I have tried is the Breed, it's very versitile and gets a lot of love around here.

Are they still running the exchange policy if you are not happy ? it's a bit of a pain soldering but it's worthwhile bearing in mind

Actually the Dimarzio/Ibz should be pretty good for playing metallica since it is only a tweaked SD.

Yeah the clips on Dimarzio's site suck.

Anyway, I'd go with Tone Zone - FS-1 - Paf Pro. Or you could just give the Dimarzio/IBZ's another chance, they really aren't bad.

A Norton with a high gain amp like a Mesa is killer. You don't need monster pups to get what you need from an F-50. Just try a norton and if you don't like it swap it. Dimarzio lets you trade pups within 30 days. I've done it a few times and it's easy.

i dont think that applies here in australia?
anways i find the harmonics with my dimarzio/ibz crappy, they dont even squeal, sounds more like a weak natural harmonic
