Simple wiring question.....A single PAF Pro

Hello,

my strat project is almost complete and I need some help on wiring up the single PAF Pro Humbucker thats going into the bridge.

There is only going to be a volume contol for this guitar NO tone knob. There are 4 wires coming out of the PAF Pro so does anyone know how to wire her in? Or have a link to a web site that has the instructions??

Any help/advide would be much apprechiated.

Merry Christmas, Big Job.

Heres what i found and seems right to me, if its dimarzio, i think you wire green and bare and put that to ground, and for the black and white i think you just not soder them to anything (i dont know if you attach them both together) cover them with shrink wrap if you can cause electrical tape gets goey and messy. and the hot (red) to the middle lug on the volume pot, the 3rd goes ground and first goes to the jack and ground to the ground on the jack. I hope this works!

green/bare=ground
black/white=soldered together and tapped/shrinkwrapped
red= hot

power should be to the center of the volume
ground one lug to the side..solder
the other side pickups red wire

Green and bare go to ground (back of pot)

Red goes to the input of the volume pot

Black and white are soldered together, and preferably covered in heatshrink tubing.

Re: Simple wiring question.....A single PAF Pro

yep, waylay is right !

unless by some small chance you wanted to run it in parallel ? like Mr Paul Gilbert !

in which case
Red + White = soldered together are hot
Green + Black = soldered together are ground
the braid (shield) still goes to ground (back of the vol pot)

its a bit cleaner and has more of a stratty twang, it has a bit less output but more definition.

you can put a pull switch/volume pot for a serial parallel selection, for two hum cancelling sounds
