Single Coil Sized Humbuckers

I recently sold my jem to buy a EBMM Axis. However, since I sold the Jem I have set up my old strat and have decided to hang fire on buying a new guitar for a while. The strat is ideally suited to what I'm playing at the moment and it feels so comfortable. I'd basically forgotten how much I loved this guitar!
I'd like to install a single coil size humbucker in the bridge of my strat for a bit more wallop on solos. I've heard excellent things about Seymour Duncan's range of mini buckers (J.B, Screaming Demon etc) but there aren't too many guitars that come with them fitted as standard. Does anybody have these type of pickups fitted to their strat and what are their verdicts? I'm looking for something that sounds as close to a Paf Pro as possible but I know this really won't be possible from an SC sized humbucker. any recommendations?

howdy buckeroo. I have a Strat with 3 single-buckers in there. I got from bridge to neck Screamin Deamon Hot Rails and a lil 59'ner. Screamin Deamon is very nice IMO but if you want something that sounds as close to a PAF or PAF Pro your gunna want the lil 59'ner.

Dude! I've never been called Buckaroo before!

Thanks for the advice. TBH the 59er was one of the pups that immediatedly grabbed me when I visited the S.D website. Anybody have any experience of the little J.B though? Its kind of a toss up between these two now!

Put a li'l '59 in the neck and a li'l JB in the bridge. If they sound anything like their full-sized counterparts, it'll be a sweet combo.

Lil 59 is OK. I also have a Carvin twinblade. I liked them when I got them, but over time I'm finding they're just not the same - I prefer a full size PAF Pro and a full size V2 (yes, really) over both of the small ones. And split to single coil, they just don't do it.

If you can mod to do a full size bucker, it's worth it. If not, check out the Carvin twinblade - it's not bad.
