soemthings wrong ( i guess... )

hey guys, i have installed a humbucker from hell on a neck of my RG550 and a tonezone for the bridge, i havent heard the tonezone with my own ears live.. ive seen em on videos and stuff.

i wonder what sound does it produce?

i find my humbucker from hell is quite acoustic like sound.. and the tonezone, with my DS-1 i couldnt get this kick ass tone i thought i'd be getting.

thanks

what kind of tone did you think you would get?
and could it be the pedal thats not giving you the tone you want?

The tone zone is a finnicky pickup. You can't have it too close to the strings. I'd also double check the wiring.

I should also mention that a DS-1 isn't exactly known for it's heavy distorted tone. Have you tried your guitar using a different amp/distortion pedal?

Re: soemthings wrong ( i guess... )

Well, if you thought you were going to get some high gain metal sound from a Humbucker From Hell, think again. The name is misleading, as the HFH was designed to be acoustic like you said, similar to a single-coil pickup.

Wow that Tone Zone Rhytm sounded really sucky. I did not know Tone Zone can sound like that. Your distortion sounded like the speakers that was broken into. Maybe you should use a better amp with it.
