Strange Problem - Need Help ASAP!

Hey guys, I did a complete rewire of my RG550 (which has an X2N/S1/Air Norton combo), for I was sometimes experiencing some cracks and pops. Well, after I had wired it all, everything was working fine, except for position 1. (Keep in mind, I have the guitar wired the way it is stock, with positions 2 and 4 offering a coil tap, etc)

Whenever I put the switch into position one (supposed to be bridge pickup at full power), my X2N sounds VERY weak and thin. I've checked all of the wiring, and I've even tried wiring the X2N without the coil tap. What is going on here? Why is my X2N not outputting anymore?

Thanks

Something isnt wired right, one of the coils must be grounded somewhere it isnt suposed to be.

That's what I'm thinking. I just tried hooking it up straight to the output jack. Same thing...Basically, coil tapping works, but when I want to run it normally, I get like 1/10th the normal output. It's not like it's "locked" in coil tap. The coil tap sounds much stronger than the full position.

Yep did that (with the trem bar as a matter of fact). Both coils seem to be on, just at a very, very low output. Like I said, it works fine in coil tap mode when I ground the black and white wires, but when I unground them and solder them together, as if I were running it in full humbucking mode all the time, that's when the output drop occurs.
