tighter, but with more output. imo, better in basswood. tz is killer in mahogany.

Serious? I always feel TZ is really muddy in Mahagony. Heard it before in J Custom and also feedbacks from friends who have RG3120 and other mahogany bodied guitars.

The TZ sounded unimpressive in my mahogany RG3120. TZ is one hell of an over rated pickup.

IMO, the Super 3 is more like a hot/compressed, and tighter, Breed Bridge. Nothing like a TZ.

Trouble is, we're all comparing it to dual resonance pickups, which it's not. It's EQ'd like a Norton or Breed, but it's more like an X2N or Super Distortion in heat. It's not a medium-hot pickup with lots of harmonics, it's a hot as hell pickup with lots of mids.

Sounds cool, I just had one put into my RG20th today along with an Air Norton neck and Chopper middle.
