I put a
Super Distortion in my Big Apple Strat (bridge) about two months ago. It does have four leads and it does sound great. It's a nice crispy-clean pickup and does higher gain very well. My Strat tends to have more sustain with this one as compared to the
Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus that I replaced with it. More bite. I like it. Super D is a great pickup.
Here's my Strat (sorry I love posting pics) before the pickup switch, although it looks exactly the same with the white Super D in it.
